Since 1975, the Yankees have been instrumental in developing high school and youth rugby throughout Fairfield County. Current or former Yankees coach at many of these schools, while the Club also has sponsored youth rugby clinics leading to the formation and growth of pre-HS programs. These teams have all contributed all-star caliber rugby scholar-athletes to the U19 Yankees 7s team.

Over the years the Fairfield Yankees have made it a point to give back to the local community. Organizing fundraisers, building playgrounds, and coaching at camps for local youth programs are just a few of the initiatives that the Club is involved in on an annual basis.

The Club President and Captains are pivotal leaders of the Fairfield Yankees Rugby Football Club, along with the Executive Board and Chairs. These player’s commitment and dedication to both the Club and the community have propelled the Club’s mission forward since its inception in 1975.
