FAIRFIELD YANKEES

The Fairfield Yankees RFC, comprised of two Men’s sides and one Women’s side, is a National Championship organization. The club was founded in 1975, and has since been synonymous with rugby in Connecticut and Fairfield County. Since the club’s inception, the Fairfield Yankees have exemplified excellence on and off the field, sponsoring men’s and women’s rugby, as well as teaching the sport to collegiate, high school, and youth rugby players.

The Club has competed within the NERFU and Met-NY conferences on the DI and DII level, winning the USA Rugby Division II Men’s National Championship in 2004. The Yankees currently compete in Division III of the newly formed Empire Geographic Union, which includes teams from the surrounding areas of Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. In June 2016, the Yankees overcame the Euless Texans to win the USA Rugby Division III Men’s National Championship. The team loves its fans and invites you to support us at our next match and join us for our upcoming social events!
